Hello AirFox community,

The team has been working tirelessly over the last two weeks as we continue product development. We’re happy to announce the following updates and accomplishments.

Forbes 30 Under 30 List- We are pleased to announce that Victor Santos; CEO and Co-Founder of AirFox, has been selected as a recipient of this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 award! Victor and AirFox are now a part of the most exclusive club in the world for young entrepreneurs and game-changers. This group includes influential names such as; Vitalik Buterin (Founder of Ethereum), Evan Spiegel, and Mark Zuckerberg. Victor was recognized in the Social Entrepreneurs category. Forbes describes Social Entrepreneurs as those who “leverage business smarts to save the world”. Less than 4% of the businesses and individuals that applied for this prestigious distinction were selected! For more information, check out our recent Medium post and the entire 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 list here.

Promotions and Hires — We are happy to announce that Brian Kinney has joined our team as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to joining AirFox, Brian spent the last year at Jana Mobile; a company with years of experience building products for emerging markets. Brian will draw from his expertise and his experience from start-ups (Jana Mobile and Cogo Labs) to build a robust, scalable, and dependable back-end for AirFox’s products.

We’d also like to welcome Andrew Wang as Director of Operations. Andrew is a former LEK management consultant and University of Chicago alum. After consulting, he led corporate innovation and business development teams at Sears where he launched an on-demand shopping service. Most recently, Andrew worked as a Techstars Associate. Andrew will be tasked with providing structural organization to the AirFox team. He will be responsible for managing the monthly/quarterly budget, monitoring KPIs and working cross-functionally on projects to maximize efficiency.

Christine To will now serve AirFox as VP of Business Operations. She will continue to focus on building the business; specifically spearheading Brazilian partnerships, evolving the AirToken Spotting Program, and managing international operations.

Hacked.com AirFox Article — AirFox was recently featured in an article posted on Hacked.com. Although written by a non-sponsored third party, the author of the article accurately explains how AirTokens will be integrated in AirFox’s product once it is released. If you haven’t already had a chance to check it out, the article is definitely worth a quick read!

Discord Messenger — In an effort to best serve our growing community, the AirToken Chat Channel has moved to Discord Messenger. The AirToken Official Announcement channel on Telegram will be kept for updates and is the go to place for the latest information until we finish the new AirToken website to reflect news post-ICO.
