Airfox expands executive and engineering teams in Boston and Brazil
Airfox is continuing its expansion with the hiring of Don Andrade as Chief Financial Officer and additional new hires based in our Boston and São Paulo offices.
Don brings deep financial expertise to help Airfox file the Form 10 to register AirToken as a U.S. security. He is a perfect fit as part of the Airfox team at this pivotal stage, previously serving leading accounting organization Deloitte for 27 years with much of the time spent overseas in France, Greater China, and Russia. At Airfox, he is focused on organizing predictable spending, planning for the future, and reducing unnecessary costs. As blockchain evolves from an early adopter novelty to a foundation of our future economy, hiring Don is recognition that navigating compliance complexities requires guidance from leaders that bridges financial services, policy, and corporate governance.
“I’m honored to join the passionate Airfox team and work towards our mission of democratizing financial services for the underserved,” said Don Andrade, CFO, Airfox. “We have a strategic plan to expand our financial services platform to empower those not equitably served by traditional banking services.”
Also joining the team in Boston as Product Manager is Maura Folliard. After getting her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Tufts University, Maura was a Product Specialist at CrunchTime!, a restaurant management technology platform. There she worked as a product owner for their B2B product, managing the full product development including talking to users, to mapping product changes, and communicating the plan to the team.
To support the Airfox São Paulo office and our President of Brazil Gustavo Ribeiro, we welcome our second Airfox Brazil hire Felipe Cine. Felipe is joining Airfox as Director of Customer Success and brings experience growing similar departments in Brazil for the likes of Nubank and Uber. In Brazil, Felipe will be developing our call center and ensuring every user of the app has an experiences that meets Airfox’s high standards.
Finally, Airfox would like to acknowledge one of our engineering team members in São Paulo, Amauri Alvarenga has been working on the Airfox team for many months (almost a full year) and has not been recognized as joining the team yet.
The addition of new team members is a significant step towards expected mass adoption of Airfox and it’s products. Together we anticipate 2019 to be a year for user and platform growth. Thank you for being a part of it.
